Our featured shop for January is Rose Works Jewelry. I really do enjoy exploring other's shops. I find it very interesting, the variety of styles and talent that is out there. Ruthie, at Rose Works prides herself on her seed beading techniques, and working with crystals. Seed beading can be very detailed, and you must have a good eye too! Here's a couple of my favorites from her shop.

What a beautiful and colorful necklace! I can't imagine the amount of time that goes into a piece such as this.
I also picked this one as a favorite. This is a "brick weave" technique.

OMG! Just looking at that beautiful necklace made my eyes hurt and my neck ache thinking of all the hours and detail work that went into it!

Patience is a virtue and Ruthie seems to be overflowing with it!

Post July 4th workout and update

I took off a week from running since my legs were hurting everyday, all day. So it was a bit challenging to start back up this week. I'm so greatful for the cooler mornings that we've been having. Today: 1.77 miles Weight: let's not talk about it; I'm on a see-saw right now. Eating fairly well. Staying away from sweets. Bought a new swimsuit yesterday, so can start swimming when it is too hot to run or walk. Not your traditional swimwear; I wanted something to exercise and do laps in. It's more for cross-training. Oh happy day!

Well! I'm feeling a little happy today! I made some earrings for the gallery and took them there. I have to admit; I almost don't feel like my current work is not "good enough" to be in this shop. What beautiful paintings, artisan made pottery, wall hangings, glass! You can find it here: http://www.paintedfishgallery.com Then I went and picked up my check from working last week.
