OMG! I can't believe it's been a week since I've posted. I've been soooo busy this week. First of all, running around applying for jobs, trying to get part-time work. Then I finally made some headway, and now have 2 shops carrying my jewelry! One is the Painted Fish Gallery in Dunedin, and the other is the Safety Harbor Galleria in Safety Harbor. Thanks to these shops! I have 2 appointments with other shops (here in other locations), so I'm hoping to get my name and jewelry around the area! So I had to pull alot of items from my Etsy shop, and now I'm in fear, that my inventory is getting low. Gotta make more jewelry! I was comfortable with about 100 pieces, now I'm about 50 something in my Etsy shop, (oh, no!) I'm kidding of course. I just didn't think I'd get done everything that I wanted to accomplish by today; but I have. I mentioned in a previous post that we had to put one of our cats to sleep about a week ago. Well let me introduce our 2 new family members! That's right 2, I just couldn't bring one alone home from the shelter, there were so many cats that need homes. First is Rex, a senior kitty, who is so sweet and a lap cat. I saw him before; he came in to the hospital where I work for some surgery. So I already knew how sweet he was. Yes, he only has one eye, the other had to be removed. And then my husband, Benn wanted to look at younger cats, so we got Achilles. He's just a year old, (and wild still), he might be a handful, but very cute and sweet! Now we're back to our original numbers of 3 cats, one young, one middle, and one old. I haven't had a whole lot of time to devote to my jewelry lately, but I did manage to make this "Cranberry Twist" necklace today. Sorry for the delay in getting new items in my Etsy shop as I hoped I would last week, but I had "day job" business to attend to last week and didn't get to finish my projects that I was working on. I did get to read and post in the blogs that I follow last night, and did some reading, got to bed late..... Wanted to start today fresh (get up early) and get working on ALOT of projects that I have under wraps. Soooo I did work out this morning (Lisa) and was hoping to post a picture of our "painted" living room; haven't done that yet, maybe later tonight I'll come back and post. I finished 2 jewelry pieces today. One is a funky, rather bold lampwork bracelet with sterling silver, Greek beads and viking knit wire work for the band. The other is another funky piece that I'm calling "You Rock". Happy Monday! Happy Labor Day! Hope everyone is enjoy this holiday. Here's the new bracelets that I've made over the weekend. The first I call "Root beer Float". It's really pretty- I love the color combinations that the light blue and brown make together. This consists of a set of lampwork beads that I got from Laffing Gull Designs (htpp://laffinggull.etsy.com) and Greek ceramic beads from Mykonos. I used copper as an accent color and coordinating crystals. This bracelet is really light weight too. Had extra beads, so I include matching earrings. I love the swirly beads and had extras of those too, so I made myself a pair of earrings. (The bumpy beaded earrings go with the bracelet.)
