New bracelets

Happy Monday! Happy Labor Day! Hope everyone is enjoy this holiday. Here's the new bracelets that I've made over the weekend. The first I call "Root beer Float". It's really pretty- I love the color combinations that the light blue and brown make together. This consists of a set of lampwork beads that I got from Laffing Gull Designs (htpp://laffinggull.etsy.com) and Greek ceramic beads from Mykonos. I used copper as an accent color and coordinating crystals. This bracelet is really light weight too. Had extra beads, so I include matching earrings. I love the swirly beads and had extras of those too, so I made myself a pair of earrings. (The bumpy beaded earrings go with the bracelet.)

This next bracelet I'm calling "Autumn Meadow". It has green and gold infused lentil lampwork beads that I got from Catalina Glass. (See shop in sidebar)I used various crystals, and a combination of copper and Vintaj Natural Brass findings.
My inspiration for this piece comes from Vintaj's September Design Challenge entitled, "Amber Skies". Post July 4th workout and update

I took off a week from running since my legs were hurting everyday, all day. So it was a bit challenging to start back up this week. I'm so greatful for the cooler mornings that we've been having. Today: 1.77 miles Weight: let's not talk about it; I'm on a see-saw right now. Eating fairly well. Staying away from sweets. Bought a new swimsuit yesterday, so can start swimming when it is too hot to run or walk. Not your traditional swimwear; I wanted something to exercise and do laps in. It's more for cross-training. January 2015 Nature Box subscription picks

I tried some new snacks in this months box, so get ready for some chocolate! ~dutch cocoa sun-crunch These are cocoa flavored sunflower and sesame seed clusters. Medium strength taste wise on the chocolate, but I love the saltiness of the sun-crunch itself. 6 grams of protein per serving; that's pretty good too! ~dark cocoa almonds~ If you like dark chocolate, you'll love these! 4 grams of protein on these per serving. ~dark chocolate berry trail mix Out of the other trail mixes that I've tried from Naturebox , this one is my favorite. Classic Wisdom for the Professional Life edited by Bryan Curtis

What a great book of inspirational quotes by many famous people. This is a compilation of pages and pages of wisdom from authors, presidents, sports figures, entrepreneurs, cultural leaders, and the like. I really enjoyed reading this book. The quotes are not just inspirational to professional people in the business world, but also, they grasp the sense of good values, and positive traits that all persons should strive for in their lives. Some of the quotes make you think and ponder over them. The book is presented in a non-descriptive cover, subtle, yet attractive. It is an easy read, not overly stuffed with nonsense, or too much content. You could read a page a day for inspiration, or daily meditation. It is not a biblical book at all, in my opinion, just great reading. I would definitely recommend this book to all who wish to aspire to a greater level of success, whether it is in a business situation, or not. This would make a great gift book as well. Maybe a coffee table book even.
