Ah, fall! My favorite time of the year. We finally get a break from the heat and humidity here in Florida. It has been nice in the mornings and evenings. Although the slight change in weather, does not mean a change in the way things look here. It still looks like this in our neighborhood. And this: And this: This is the time of the year to do arts and crafts shows. This is when the "snow birds" come to Florida for the winter. This is also the time of year when I start walking outside again. We do have beautiful paths to walk. And this is the best time of year to visit Walt Disney World !

For those of you who enjoyed last week's picture of the fall leaves of Japan, I thought I'd do another one this week. Tofukuji is a Zen temple, which was constructed in 1236 with the aim of building a temple in the style of Todaiji and Kofukuji, the two great temples of Nara. Note that the name "Tofukuji" is a combination of the names of the two model temples. Each autumn, Tofukuji becomes one of Japan's most spectacular (and crowded) spots for autumn leaf viewing. The second half of November is usually the best time to view the ocean of colored trees in combination with the traditional temple architecture. Hope you enjoyed this little bit of Japan's history. Happy Monday! Happy Labor Day! Hope everyone is enjoy this holiday. Here's the new bracelets that I've made over the weekend. The first I call "Root beer Float". It's really pretty- I love the color combinations that the light blue and brown make together. This consists of a set of lampwork beads that I got from Laffing Gull Designs (htpp://laffinggull.etsy.com) and Greek ceramic beads from Mykonos. I used copper as an accent color and coordinating crystals. This bracelet is really light weight too. Had extra beads, so I include matching earrings. I love the swirly beads and had extras of those too, so I made myself a pair of earrings. (The bumpy beaded earrings go with the bracelet.) It will be up later in my Etsy shop, so stop by there if you want to see more pictures. This next bracelet I'm calling "Autumn Meadow".
