What's new today

Right now it's 11:50 pm. and I can't believe that I'm up this late (for me) making jewelry, taking pictures and posting this blog. What can I say? When I get on a roll, I just have to finish the projects while they're fresh in my mind and I feel inspired to do them. I am hoping to get these new items posted in my Etsy shop tonight. We'll see.
The first piece is called "Pretty in Pink". I've had these pink lampwork beads for some time now; sometimes it seems like I just get tired of looking at the same beads sitting around and finally I say to myself, "o.k. they have to go somewhere now", "gotta make something with them", because I'm ALWAYS seeing new beads that I want to buy. Not only do I love making jewelry, but love buying it too! Which reminds me of a few items I'd like to get from Lisa; see Lisaslovlies.etsy.com. But I'm trying to fight the temptation! Back to Pretty in Pink. I have so much Vintaj brass, I thought I'd better start bumping it out too. So this is all brass, chain, wire wrapping, and toggle clasp.

Next, I ordered these green opal pendant kits from Vintaj also. One I made for myself, which is the one with the cube beads (carnelian, chrysoprase, and quartz crystal. The second one I will post in my Etsy shop which has coordinating colors of pinks and greens. I used green opal, cherry quartz, chrysoprase, citrine, tiger quartz hexagon beads, brass findings and I hand forged the swan clasp myself. I think this is the first swan clasp that I've made... more will follow!

And I've been thinking about destashing some of my supplies. I have so much stuff, that I'll probably never get around to using, and always wanting new stuff, so I've decided to start a supply/destashing shop on Etsy. This will take some time getting it all together, you know with sorting, pricing, photos, etc......, but I am going to attempt getting it up in the next few weeks. (my goal anyway)
I have another idea, to post a picture of the week here on my blog. This ought to be interesting.....we'll see what happens with that! Let me run over to Etsy right now. Tomorrow I plan on making bracelets. One for myself too! (of course)
