Let me tell you a story. It's a nice story with a happy ending. You see, I work in an animal hospital, and sometimes we see alot of sad things. This is the story of Gordon. One day, at work a client came in in tears. Almost hysterically in tears. It seems she was moving into a smaller home, or condo where she could not take her dear cats. It was so sad, as I could hear her telling the doctor her story, although I was not in the examination room with them. The client was (that day) to have her cats flown to her daughter and son-in-law in another state. Well, they backed out at the last minute. She was heart broken. As was my boss, the veterinarian. To avoid putting the cats to sleep, the doctor said that she would try to find homes for them. Of course, she would run all kinds of tests and blood work to make sure they were healthy. I became friends with Gordon over the next few days, realizing that he was a "lap cat", unlike my other cats, and I really wanted another one, a...

Bush's Best has some new varieties of beans. Have you tried them yet? They are YUMMY! Six new flavors, you can read about here , with recipes that follow. I spent part of yesterday making jump rings and completing some new jewelry pieces. I somewhat hate making jump rings! It's just the repetitiveness of them, I guess. The coiling,cutting,filing,shaping. As you can see, my nails and fingers take a toll. Well, the photo doesn't look bad, but I've broken 3 nails,and have 5 new cuts. I won't be winning any beauty contests (with my hands) anytime soon. I have not worked my regular day job all week. I finally got to the doctor's and have been on steroids, anti-inflammatory drugs, and topical ointments and rest all week. I have not been able to bend over, or bend my back much at all. Benn has helped by taking care of the cats and some things that I cannot do. Now here's the revelation: I can REALLY feel the difference in all aspects of my mind, moods and emotions. I am at peace. I am happy. I am light-hearted, feel free and full of creativity. This is NOT how I feel on an average day of work. I have nothing left to give...

Let me explain. I pulled my lower back yesterday morning; or should I say more like pinched a nerve. Very Painful. I really had difficulty walking, sitting, or much anything else. It is still painful and bothering me today. I'm waiting for the doctor's office to call me back so I can get some drugs. STRONG drugs would be nice. They said they would call me back in an hour; that was about 3 hours ago, and I haven't tried to get up out of this chair since!
