In transition

This is my favorite time of year, when we transition into fall. I love the cooler weather it brings and the holiday season. It's also the best time of year for art shows and sales.

What I'm having trouble dealing with is the transition of working 5 days a week. I've come to realize that I just don't have the time that I used to have to create jewelry. Nor do I have the money to back this business and have it grow. I realize that I may have to do less shows, and my production time is reduced. And let's just add that I'm really not making any money at this new job either. So is life. Sometimes it's difficult to accept where you are in life- it is for me anyway.

Another new change: I took a chance and now have my work in Carter's Gallery in Tampa. They found me actually, and after checking out their gallery, I decided to put a small collection of my jewelry with them. It is a very nice, newer gallery, and a potter who I know and respect his work, is also at this gallery, so I felt confident to give it a try.

I've finished some new pearl stacking rings and are ready to show. I was hoping to make some scarf pins for the fall season, but I'm not sure that will happen. I do have a show coming up in 2 weeks in Sarasota (check the side bar for info).
That's all for now. Stop back soon!
