What a week

I hesitated to post today, even though it's been about a week since my last. My mood is not that great today. The new job that I started this week, ended today. (This was the P/T sewing job, that I mentioned previously.) I just knew today, that I would not be able to do the job.
I've mentioned before that I used to sew, some years ago, and made swimsuits, so when I saw the ad placed for a seamstress, I thought I'd try it out. I could not get used to the industrial machines. They really wanted a professional swimsuit maker to come in and just pick it up and be making production; like on the first day. I struggled too much. I knew it; the lady that hired me knew it too.

It is such a blow to the ego, especially when you've been doing work for so many years;when you know who you are (pretty much so anyway); what you're capable of; and where you're going (or like to be going.)
I'm trying to go easy on myself, but I tend to be such a perfectionist about everything, that it is difficult. Well, back to searching.

The Diet
This week was the first week that I tracked my weight at home. This also was a bit difficult, as my scale at home is about 8 or 9 lbs off from the scales at WW.
So even when I deducted the difference, I didn't lose anything this week, but weighed less, so my programmable calculator tells me I should be eating less points!
O.k., I didn't lose, but I should lower my food intake? No this doesn't make sense. So I guess I'll gauge for a couple of weeks to figure out how much I should be eating.

My jewelry business
I feel like I've neglected my business this week, with all the working outside jobs. And I don't like that feeling. My jewelry business is my first love, and I need to pay attention to it. Earlier in the week, I did learn some new metalsmithing techniques, that I can't wait to show off. Plus, I'm almost ready to show off my new website. Stop back for more.

Wow, sounds like a rough week :( Sorry to hear that the sewing job didn't work out. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I hope everything gets better & I can't wait to see the new jewelry you make! Your stuff is really beautiful!

Oh gosh girl, don't start a new job and start tracking your weight in the same week! That's a good way to get depressed or a migraine. I hope things go better for you, take a deep breath, and know that you are, you can, and you will.
Sorry to hear about the job. It's not fair of them to expect so much so soon! Hopefully you'll have time to work on your jewelry more this week without that darn job :)
