Sunday....photography challenged

What a nice party I went to last night. You wouldn't believe 36 women together in one room doing an ornament exchange, wow! Had a nice walk this morning, here's what I encountered along the way:



Loch Ness Monster. Yes, this is what we can expect here in Florida! And this is about as close as I want to get!
As I promised, I want to show off some of the pieces I mentioned before and I finished the southwestern necklace too.But I waited too long today to take photos outside, lost the natural light, had a shaky hand, you get the message; kind of lousy photos today.

Now for a name, I can't decide; maybe Sedona pottery, or Fiesta?
Anyone have suggestions for the name of the southwestern necklace? I need to retake photos tomorrow, I guess before I can list these in my Etsy shop. Right now I've got to go feed the hungry cats, and husband!

Post July 4th workout and update

I took off a week from running since my legs were hurting everyday, all day. So it was a bit challenging to start back up this week. I'm so greatful for the cooler mornings that we've been having. Today: 1.77 miles Weight: let's not talk about it; I'm on a see-saw right now. Eating fairly well. Staying away from sweets. Bought a new swimsuit yesterday, so can start swimming when it is too hot to run or walk. Not your traditional swimwear; I wanted something to exercise and do laps in. It's more for cross-training. Classic Wisdom for the Professional Life edited by Bryan Curtis

What a great book of inspirational quotes by many famous people. This is a compilation of pages and pages of wisdom from authors, presidents, sports figures, entrepreneurs, cultural leaders, and the like. I really enjoyed reading this book. The quotes are not just inspirational to professional people in the business world, but also, they grasp the sense of good values, and positive traits that all persons should strive for in their lives. Some of the quotes make you think and ponder over them. The book is presented in a non-descriptive cover, subtle, yet attractive. It is an easy read, not overly stuffed with nonsense, or too much content. You could read a page a day for inspiration, or daily meditation. It is not a biblical book at all, in my opinion, just great reading. I would definitely recommend this book to all who wish to aspire to a greater level of success, whether it is in a business situation, or not. This would make a great gift book as well. Maybe a coffee table book even.
