Today I thought I'd give some shout outs for some products I like and business resources for those of you who may be in your own business, or just starting one. First of all, I gave a try to some new products for the face and skin. Faerie Made natural skin care products made from natural ingredients and escential oils. I ordered this set with a lavendar and citrus face soap and ginger and lime sugar scrub. Fantastic! And I'm picky about the products and scents that I use. The whole package smelled great before I even opened the box! I really love the sugar scrub. It's nice and grainy, the way I like it, and leaves the skin soft. It makes a great scrub for pre-shaving. I also recieved a couple of soap samples: Moonlady's Ocean being my favorite. A wonderful fresh lavender, rosemary, mint. I'll have to order this one. I don't know about you, but I do believe in these little spirits of playful annoyance. Have you ever been working on something, a project; maybe an art project, or even doing a chore around your home, and a key item just seems to up and disappear? It seems to happen to me a lot, especially when I'm working to create a piece of jewelry. I call these little spirits "fairy tricksters". They like to come out and "play" by hiding a piece of metal, or whatever I'm working with, just for a little while. I can almost hear them laughing in the background, "he, he, he!" I'll be working on a piece of jewelry on my bench, put down a tool, grab something else, and look back for the tool, and it's gone! Where did it go? I set it down right here on the table? Learning new techniques is always fun, and sometimes challenging; especially if you're teaching yourself! Last week I encountered an issue using my micro torch. It stopped working. So I had to troubleshoot the problem. I had fuel, I had a spark, so I guess it got clogged. BTW: there is a great troubleshooting video from Beaducation- you can view it here . So I cleaned the tip and still no luck. Come to find out that "premium" fuel is not the same as "triple refined fuel", which is recommended to use in these types of micro torches. I must add, that the folks at Beaducation were very helpful! So, being on the production schedule that I have set for myself, I tried to use my bigger propane torch to do the job. Well, I almost incinerated my ear wires! Two times! Finally, getting the feel of the propane torch, I managed to finish the earrings and am happy with the results. Success!
