Kaleidoscope: A book review

Seeing God’s wit and wisdom is a whole new light.

Patsy Clairmont takes a very light hearted look at the Proverbs. She uses her wit to convey an interesting, thought provoking, and sometimes comical vision of meaning to the Bible’s book of Proverbs. The title of the book, Kaleidoscope, really captures a visual, if you will, on the many angles that Patsy uses to express herself and her sometimes quirky explanation of the book of Proverbs.
Patsy Clairmont is an author of many books, and a speaker and writer for Women of Faith events and publications. Through her personal life experiences and thorough knowledge of the Bible, she shares many thought provoking topics. I found the book to be well structured and easy to read. The individual chapters have light hearted titles, to which she tells us short stories of personal reference which connect a certain Proverb, which she uses to expand upon. At the end of each chapter are questions that one can use for personal exploration of the topic or for group study. The chapters are complete with Bible passages that can be connected to the specific Proverb that the chapter is about. Each chapter is brief also making this book not only easy to read, but gives the reader time to reflect on the topics of each chapter.
It is a good read that I would recommend.
