Bits and pieces

Since I'm on a "mission" this month, I thought it would be fitting to make a piece of jewelry, themed for the cause. Here's the "Love Revolution" necklace.

This is my favorite piece of jewelry that I've made to date. The lampwork beads are from Quinlan Glass, (see sidebar for shop info). I just love the heart focal! All the sterling silver (links, clasp, jump rings, "love knots"), all made by me, courtesy of teachings from Sharilyn Miller and Stacey Perry.
You can find Sharilyn on my blog list, and Stacey is a local teacher and artist here in Florida, and has a shop on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5176992&ga_search_query=hodgepodgerie&ga_search_type=seller_usernames
Lots of design elements went into this one; I oxidized it and hand polished it as well.

Kinda fitting, don't ya think?

Off the subject, if you happen to read this post today (Wednesday the 8th) you must click on the photo of the Daily Kitten and read the story that goes along with it. The kitty was found is Asia, fostered, and came to America to it's new home. It got a passport and all! Really cute story! see: Ramizan

Now here's another one. Look at this photo of cats that I found somewhere on the web.

It claims to be "Fox Face" cats. Being in veterinary medicine myself, I have never seen a breed like this. Is it real? Maybe it's a new breed. Has anyone ever seen this kind of cat before?
That's it for today, be sure to stop back over the weekend, to see what's up for Easter!

The cats look like a photoshop rigup to me. . .

I need to put you in touch with some friends of mine that make the most incredible blown glass beads!! They have an Etsy store too - www.Fireglassart.com is their website and they're Ed and Caroline Earley.

I did shows with them for years and they're great people as well as talented glass artists! Check them out!
