Picture of the Week

This is Joyce Meyer. One of the world's leading practical bible teachers, lecturer, and best selling author for inspirational Christian living. She is just great! And down to earth. She can be found on radio and television, (I watch her show daily) and you can find out more about her and her ministry at: http://www.joycemeyer.org.
The reason I chose this picture for the week, is because I'm so excited that she will be here in Tampa for a 3 day conference, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Not only do I plan to go, (I've been to past conferences), but decided this year I would volunteer to help out. So I'm real excited about that. Doing service, doing what I can do.
Now here's an example of how God works: I said "out loud" about a year ago, that I wanted to volunteer next time she is in town. So of course when the Tampa conference was announced, I was happy, and said again, "out loud" to friends and Benn, that I wanted to volunteer this year. Well, you know how that goes sometimes, you're all hyped up about something, like; "oh yeah, oh yeah, I want to get involved, sign me up!" Then later you do too much thinking about it, ponder over it and get lazy for a better term, and start thinking your way out of it. Well, here was my dilemma; I am afraid of heights, that is being really high up. Like for instance, when I stay in a hotel, I always ask for a floor not above the 4th or 5th floor. (I kinda like the security of knowing I can jump out of a window if I have to, then on my last trip to Texas, I realized that the hotel windows didn't have any way of opening up! Just my luck!)
ANYWAY... I was reading the requirements to volunteer, and they said that you must be willing to go to any area that you are needed. So I said to Benn, "what if they want me to usher on the 3rd level of the stadium? I can't do that!" So my dear husband said to me, "just follow your heart", in more words than that I must say, but that's the general idea. So I applied. The next day I got an email response saying that I was excepted and that they would put me on the resource tables! (which is at the lobby level!) See, just ask for something, be willing to reach out and somehow the universe (God) answers!
I'll be participating at every session, so it will be a long and tiring weekend for me, but it will be a great experience. Well, more tomorrow. Have a good night!

Oh, you must check her out! Her show "Enjoying everyday life" is usually on early, 6:00 or 7:00am. Try CTN, WGN, or just go to her website, they list all the tv and radio stations there.
