I feel like giving something away

Image
I worked on making jewelry all day today to get ready for my show next weekend. With the holidays approaching, I'm feeling a bit like Santa Claus and I want to give something away. So I decided on this bracelet. This is a bracelet that I made for myself, but find that I do not wear it and would like someone else to enjoy it. It is a memory wire bracelet with tiny seed beads, silver and other beads with the focal bead being a beautiful polymer clay bar bead made by Heather Powers . Oh happy day!

Well! I'm feeling a little happy today! I made some earrings for the gallery and took them there. I have to admit; I almost don't feel like my current work is not "good enough" to be in this shop. What beautiful paintings, artisan made pottery, wall hangings, glass! You can find it here: http://www.paintedfishgallery.com Then I went and picked up my check from working last week. Came home to find 3 sales on my ETSY supply shop and 2 sales in my ETSY jewelry shop! Yeah! Now here's something for you. I'm having another giveaway. This time it's for a Joyce Meyer book, "I dare You!" All you have to do is post a comment on my blog here from now until March 3. I will draw a winner on the 4th. So, you have 2 weeks to keep stopping in here, the more comments you leave, the better chance you have of winning! I will try to make a lot of blog posts! Here's the earrings that I took to the gallery today.

I've noticed that after about a year some bloggers either stop blogging, or the amount of posts decrease from daily, to weekly, to monthly, then no posts for months. Why does this occur? Do we get bored with blogging? Do we run out of things to say or write about? I guess if one has a background in writing, a blogger could potentially continue to find topics about which to write about. I find it curious, to me at least, why some folks stop blogging, especially if their followers are increasing, and their readers are increasing. I've noticed this in a couple of blogs that I followed. What I see that seems to work for some, is a repeated weekly post on some topic or the other. For example, some have specific days that they: run a contest, do a tutorial, have group topics to post on (blog carnivals), interview other artisans, post recipes, or boo...
