Once upon a Gypsy Moon~by Michael Hurley~ a book review



I won this book from a "Goodreads-First reads" giveaway. My review is brief; as I did not enjoy this book much. From the book cover it says, "An improbable voyage and one man's yearning for redemption".
I understand that this is the author's memoir; written and spoken from a man's point of view, so I couldn't make the connection. The story has a lot of nautical terminology, and tales of sailing, which doesn't interest me. I really didn't feel that there was much of a redemption to the author's story either.
At best, I'd consider this a "guy's book", or for one who loves sailing.

Post July 4th workout and update

I took off a week from running since my legs were hurting everyday, all day. So it was a bit challenging to start back up this week. I'm so greatful for the cooler mornings that we've been having. Today: 1.77 miles Weight: let's not talk about it; I'm on a see-saw right now. Eating fairly well. Staying away from sweets. Bought a new swimsuit yesterday, so can start swimming when it is too hot to run or walk. Not your traditional swimwear; I wanted something to exercise and do laps in. It's more for cross-training. Oh happy day!

Well! I'm feeling a little happy today! I made some earrings for the gallery and took them there. I have to admit; I almost don't feel like my current work is not "good enough" to be in this shop.
