OMG! I can't believe it's been a week since I've posted. I've been soooo busy this week. First of all, running around applying for jobs, trying to get part-time work. Then I finally made some headway, and now have 2 shops carrying my jewelry! One is the Painted Fish Gallery in Dunedin, and the other is the Safety Harbor Galleria in Safety Harbor. Thanks to these shops! I have 2 appointments with other shops (here in other locations), so I'm hoping to get my name and jewelry around the area! So I had to pull alot of items from my Etsy shop, and now I'm in fear, that my inventory is getting low. Gotta make more jewelry! I was comfortable with about 100 pieces, now I'm about 50 something in my Etsy shop, (oh, no!) I'm kidding of course. I just didn't think I'd get done everything that I wanted to accomplish by today; but I have. I ordered some new gemstones, Swarovski crystals, wire, and more wire, so this morning I had to log everything in, price i...

What I'm working on

Image
Hi everyone! As a member of Etsy Bloggers Street Team, each member is asked to participate in sharing blog posts every month. This is my first attempt at it! So here's what I'm working on right now. Although I find it hard to pin point it down to just one or two projects, because I always have so many "irons in the fire", so to speak, but anyway here goes! I am working on a couple new jewelry pieces that I hope to have done this week. First is a Vintaj Brass filigree that I have embellished with a faceted Czech glass stone in amber. It will be the focus of a necklace. Second, I have a new embossed round pendant from Vintaj Brass Co. that I want to use as another necklace pendant focal which I'm going to add this beautiful faceted olive tear drop as a dangle and use some olive colored fairy ribbon +/- a brass chain. Just a few thoughts here. So many other ideas to work on too! I just have to make some more jewelry with some of the fantastic polymer clay beads that ...

Welcome new kitties!

I mentioned in a previous post that we had to put one of our cats to sleep about a week ago. Well let me introduce our 2 new family members! That's right 2, I just couldn't bring one alone home from the shelter, there were so many cats that need homes. First is Rex, a senior kitty, who is so sweet and a lap cat. I saw him before; he came in to the hospital where I work for some surgery. So I already knew how sweet he was. Yes, he only has one eye, the other had to be removed. And then my husband, Benn wanted to look at younger cats, so we got Achilles. He's just a year old, (and wild still), he might be a handful, but very cute and sweet! Now we're back to our original numbers of 3 cats, one young, one middle, and one old. I haven't had a whole lot of time to devote to my jewelry lately, but I did manage to make this "Cranberry Twist" necklace today. It consists of Vintaj Natural Brass, silk "fairy ribbon", and polymer clay beads made by Heather ...
