It's been quite a long time since I entered any design challenge. I just so happened to be over at the Art Bead Scene blog and saw this photo for April's challenge and had an idea! I thought my latest big necklace fits perfectly for the challenge. You can go over to this link and view the challenge here . My entry: The dark colors match theme; I've hand forged the pendant from sterling silver; it adds a flower type style;(flowers appear in the painting); and the strong, whirl wind of the handmade chain seem to fit well with the tale of Greek mythology. And it's a good thing too. I actually finished about 12-15 new jewelry pieces this week! I finished some projects yesterday, and today did the photography. (I hate taking the photos), probably because I still struggle with taking good quality photos, that are appealing to the potential customer and show different angles, sides, how to wear, etc. I actually found a new colored background today, or should I say, "discovered" as I did not know that I had it. It is a rust/brown and I found it looked nice against some of this copper and silver mixed jewelry that I've be making, so I re-did some shots from last week. And these amethyst square hoops look much better on the purple background. It brings the amethyst to life. And now on to the new stuff: silver spirals with textured circle impressions. There's been some major changes going on in my life lately and I wanted to blog about it. I've had a good week, relaxed, working on new projects, lots of new things on my blog, new groups, etc. So I've been feeling pretty good about these changes, then last night a friend called and asked me what I was doing, and I kind of fell off my cloud so to speak. And I started worrying..... O.k., what am I doing? I started to feel a little bit alone. You see, I haven't worked outside the house all week, haven't been around too many people, or talked to many either. Am I isolating?
