I thought I'd share some happy thoughts and news about what's going on with me and my business, "Devine Designs Jewelry". First of all, I got such a great compliment last week. I ran into an art teacher, who has a bachelor's degree in art and has been featured at gallery events with artists, such as Dale Chihuly . She is a recent follower of my Facebook page , and commented on how professional and upscale my work is. And wishing me all the best with my work. What a great compliment; I really appreciated that from such an accomplished person in the field of art. Next good news: my work has been excepted into the Florida Craftsmen Gallery in St. Petersburg. This is a great accomplishment for me. It is, and has been a very difficult gallery to get into. Third exciting bit of news: I will soon have my own website for my jewelry. Look for more on that to come. Have a great day, and think happy thoughts!

Meet " The Fab Miss B ". What a wonderfully refreshing exploration of shops! Becky, being a world traveler, has settled in the state of Hawaii. I just love this photo of her that she uses for her avatar in her main shop. The photo alone should give you an idea of her fun, whimsical spirit. Saturday evening was the grand opening of Clay and Paper in Dunedin. I think they had a lovely turn out. Many local artists were there, greeting guests and showing off their art form. Myself included. I got to socialize with many of the folks and it also gave me a chance to really explore other's work. It started out raining, which it always does here in Florida at this time of the year, although I really don't think the weather effected the turnout. Barbara, the shop's owner served wonderful appetizers of different types of roll ups with cream cheese, vegetables, and salmon; and dessert trays of cream puffs, cookies, tarts and more. Beer and wine were also offered. Now this is Barbara (in the middle) chatting with some guests. So many wonderful things to see in this shop! You could spend hours just looking around. Paintings, glass artists, jewelry artists, sculpture, and much more. Barbara, an artist herself, makes handmade paper relief and handmade ceramic tile mosaics. ...
