I've opened the vault this week. You see I really needed to sort out and destash alot of my jewelry supplies that I am not using, and probably will not use. I have over purchased, and now must try to sell stuff to reinvest some cash for new goodies to work with! Here's some great new items I've listed this week so far. http://www.etsy.com/listing/49141064/crimp-beads-sterling-silver-70-pieces http://www.etsy.com/listing/49142141/bead-crimp-covers-open-end-sterling http://www.etsy.com/listing/49057602/mykonos-greek-ceramic-pendant-and-bead http://www.etsy.com/listing/48982543/butterfly-charms-silver-hill-tribe-2 And much more is available! A day to rest

What busy weekend I had. First of all I did have to work this weekend. We had a diabetic cat who needed treatments. In addition to that and my usual Saturday morning gathering, I did a last minute open house with my friend Carol. You may have heard me talk about her before. She does seed bead weaving, a totally different style of jewelry than I make. BTW: I convinced her to open and Etsy shop and you can check it out here . She needs to add more though, and the photos do nothing to really show or appreciate the work that she does! The open house went well and was well attended. Oh, we had it at Carol's house which is about 30 minutes north of me. We kept it simple; just coffee, punch, chips and dips, cheese and crackers, and I made brownies with chocolate chunks. I sold a couple of big necklaces (so glad) so now I can pay some bill that needs paying! Then running back to work to care for the cat. A lot of driving! So today, being off from work, I just cleaned up and put away my jew...

New jewelry project and Celtic Eggplant?

Image
I'll be taking on a new wire weaving project next. It will be a bracelet that consists of wrapping 11 or 12 different pieces of wire. This should be fun! Just got my new order of wire in the mail today. Supplies were running low. So I have a couple of earrings I forgot to post yesterday. First is a pair of larger hoops in copper with Mykonos Greek ceramic beads . The next pair I made using beautiful barrel shaped lampwork beads made by artisan Moon Stumpp . I just love this shape of a bead. Now these are hard to describe, but they do have colors of varying shades of green, dark purple, and maybe brown. They look like pottery to me. I used some sterling silver and pewter findings; Celtic beads and a pretty Celtic bead cap. The only name that came to me was "Celtic eggplant"! That's what the beads remind me of! Some of these new items may end up in a local shop this week, if not they will be listed in my Etsy shop . Also, I'm feeling an urge to purge. Destash that i...

I'm finished!

Yeah, I've done it! Finished opening up my ETSY SUPPLY/DESTASH SHOP. Whew! That was a lot of work. If anybody is interested in destashing some of your supplies, let me tell you, that it took me almost 3 full days to pull it together. I think I have about 37 items up for sale. Here's the link: href="http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5178735"> Hope to see some of you there! I'll be sending emails to those I talk to regularly or here on the blog. Didn't think I'd get it done today; after all, I did walk this morning, check my blogs that I follow, talk on the phone, cleaned, did dishes, laundry and vacuumed! O.k., enough already! I think I'm tired again. No pictures today. I'll be back with the picture of the week, probably tomorrow. WOW! I just made my first sale in the supply shop! I'm happy! And thank you, Michelle!

Another busy day!

Saturday. Started out as my usual Saturday does. I did oversleep so I didn't get to exercise this morning. Then off to my women's meeting that I attend. After that I was kinda bad and HAD to do a little clothes shopping. O.k., can you blame me, I hit the after summer sales! Finally got to start my jewelry/bead work around 1:00p.m. today. As I promised, here's the 2 pieces I finished yesterday and have now successfully posted in my Etsy shop. The first being the "Far Out" bracelet. Nice big focal lampwork bead made by Richard Ronsick. And a couple of disc beads made by Carey of Sassy Stoppers. The next piece: You Rock! I just love the way this one turned out. Pretty cool. Simple, yet makes a statement. Artisan polymer clay beads, artisan bead caps (thank you Rebecca of Adobe Sol) and oxidized and polished chain by me. I love the matching earrings too. So cool! I DID open my DESTASH SHOP ON ETSY tonight. Not done uploading everything yet. Had some trouble opening th...

It's Friday and I've been busy!

Sorry for the delay in getting new items in my Etsy shop as I hoped I would last week, but I had "day job" business to attend to last week and didn't get to finish my projects that I was working on. I did get to read and post in the blogs that I follow last night, and did some reading, got to bed late..... Wanted to start today fresh (get up early) and get working on ALOT of projects that I have under wraps. Soooo I did work out this morning (Lisa) and was hoping to post a picture of our "painted" living room; haven't done that yet, maybe later tonight I'll come back and post. I finished 2 jewelry pieces today. One is a funky, rather bold lampwork bracelet with sterling silver, Greek beads and viking knit wire work for the band. The other is another funky piece that I'm calling "You Rock". It consists of funky designed artisan polymer clay beads, artisan made bead caps and the whole piece is oxidized, with an oval link sterling silver ...
