My week-end

Well it's Monday which is the last day of my weekend or last day I work with making jewelry (usually). Back to my "day" job Tuesday (as a veterinary nurse); please no medical questions; as some of you may know that I love the animals, but am looking to phase out of that business and enjoy my creative side, making jewelry. So my "day" job lasts 3 days, Tuesday thru Thursday, them I'm back to the beads, stones, metal etc. Here's some of the projects completed this weekend. They are not posted in my etsy store; I think some of these I will sell locally at a shop (boutique). Worked with some Vintaj brass, and Kazuri beads, and yes, that's me modeling the pink necklace (made for myself) as my husband and myself were getting bit by mosquitoes! This pretty bead was made by Richard Ronsick of Cloud 9 art glass. You can see another of his work: the green bead necklace that I'm holding in my hand. I do plan to make another (different style) and post for sale on etsy. Well, time is getting short--gotta get back to my beads!

Post July 4th workout and update

I took off a week from running since my legs were hurting everyday, all day. So it was a bit challenging to start back up this week. I'm so greatful for the cooler mornings that we've been having. Today: 1.77 miles Weight: let's not talk about it; I'm on a see-saw right now. Eating fairly well. Staying away from sweets. Bought a new swimsuit yesterday, so can start swimming when it is too hot to run or walk. Not your traditional swimwear; I wanted something to exercise and do laps in. It's more for cross-training. Oh happy day!

Well! I'm feeling a little happy today! I made some earrings for the gallery and took them there. I have to admit; I almost don't feel like my current work is not "good enough" to be in this shop. What beautiful paintings, artisan made pottery, wall hangings, glass! You can find it here: http://www.paintedfishgallery.com Then I went and picked up my check from working last week.
