PAVA Cool Art show wrap up

Image
A good beginning, and a good end. Crowds of people all weekend long! I am grateful! I want to thank all of my friends who stopped by this weekend- I even ran into a couple of friends that I haven't seen in a long time. Here's a look at my new booth display. You may remember me complaining about the last show I did, and I got many comments and suggestions about booth set-up. As you can see, I took that advice and set-up in an "L" formation, with my tall black stand in the back corner. This worked for me. I had adequate isle space, and using the back corner for my 3 panel shelves worked. You can't tell, but I did have lights hitting just the right spots on my tables. My brand new varascite jasper ring sold. Thank you Sarah! And now I have many requests for pieces from one of the shop owners, (where I sell my jewelry locally), so I have a bunch of work to do! I will be a busy bee for the next few weeks! Note to self: Just about 6 weeks left befo...

Rings

I'm finally making rings! They all turned out well. The top photo are all labradorite gemstones. The variscite jasper (purple one) is my favorite! I'll have these next weekend at the PAVA Cool Art show in St.Petersburg.

I work for....."cheap"

I read a lot of books. Many, I get free for my personal reviews. Recently, I've noticed many grammatical errors in various books that I've read. Don't the publishing companies have proof readers? Now I don't have a B.A. in literature, but I do own a dictionary and a thesaurus, and I'd gladly take a part-time job as a proof reader. BTW: I work for "cheap".

New jewelry- Bone link necklaces and anklet

Image
I'm getting ready for my next big show in 3 weeks. Here are a few new items already posted in my Etsy shop and ready for new homes. Stop by and have a look. Bone link anklet Long copper necklace with lampwork beads Sterling silver choker necklace and earring set More to come! BTW: Please excuse the weird photo shots, as Blogger doesn't seem to want to work with me today- and I've gotta get to work!

Undaunted by Christine Caine

Image
Author and spiritual leader, Christine Caine shares her personal story about being unwanted, unnamed, and abused. Hearing from God, and following His callings, she has been inspired to help others, with a particular desire to stop human trafficking, around the world. Christine and her husband Nick started an organization, called “A21” that serves to rescue those trapped in human trafficking. Christine shares the brutality and reality about human trafficking. She shares with the reader her trip to the Nazi concentration camps and how that affected her. Her overall message is to help others. Do whatever you can do, no matter how small you may think it is. Of course, she references many biblical scriptures that have spoken to her throughout her journey in life. And you will find little miracles, and God’s nudging within her story. I enjoyed reading this, although I was not shocked by Christine’s story, as I already knew her personal story and have heard her preach. The details ...

So cute!
