Author and spiritual leader, Christine Caine shares her personal story about being unwanted, unnamed, and abused. Hearing from God, and following His callings, she has been inspired to help others, with a particular desire to stop human trafficking, around the world. Christine and her husband Nick started an organization, called “A21” that serves to rescue those trapped in human trafficking. Christine shares the brutality and reality about human trafficking. She shares with the reader her trip to the Nazi concentration camps and how that affected her. Her overall message is to help others. Do whatever you can do, no matter how small you may think it is. Of course, she references many biblical scriptures that have spoken to her throughout her journey in life. And you will find little miracles, and God’s nudging within her story. I enjoyed reading this, although I was not shocked by Christine’s story, as I already knew her personal story and have heard her preach. The details ...

Resurrection Year by Sheridan Voysey It’s the true memoirs of one couple’s journey through infertility, waiting on God in His timing, and feelings of despair. The author shares his honest and touching account of the ten years hoping, praying, and trying for a child, searching for answers, not only about parenthood, but also about the purpose of their sufferings. This story takes the reader across countries in search of answers, spirituality, and the beauty of God’s green earth. I choose this book, thinking that I didn’t have anything in common with the topic of infertility, and that I probably would not make a connection to the story. But something about the title, “Resurrection Year”, “turning broken dreams into new beginnings”, intrigued me. And I was pleasantly surprised. Not only that, but I did relate to so many of the couple’s struggles, that certain pages almost brought me to tears. I think I've found my new favorite ice cream flavor. It's Publix brand "coconut road". Coconut ice cream with chocolate and caramel swirled in, coconut flakes, and bits of almonds. Yum! So if you happen to be in Florida, stop by a Publix supermarket and pick up a carton!

I was asked to show some of the process in making my cuff bracelets. So, ask and you shall receive! Here's a quick look at some of the steps. I start out cutting the sheet metal. NOTE: I now wear gloves to do this. It is very dangerous, and I have cut myself numerous times. Here I'm making a fold in the metal, in the vise. The art of "fold forming" requires repeatedly heating and cooling the metal in order to make it soft and workable. I'm creating texture here. Cutting details into the metal with a jeweler's saw. I use a variety of files and sandpapers to finish the edges. And if all goes well, this is the result. I hope that you enjoyed a look into my work. Stop back soon!
