Many people fear change. Whether it be changing a job, a home, a new car, or a new habit. We like to get comfortable and set in our ways. I read somewhere that a person will change jobs or professions at least 3 times in a lifetime. I believe change is good. Change is growth. Change is learning new things. Now I'm not saying that change is easy. Sometimes I struggle to change a situation too. But I do have a motto that I like to live by. I try to learn something new everyday. I feel that there is no growth unless I see, hear, or learn something each and everyday. It does not have to be profound, or a life shaking event. Maybe it is just seeing a new flower or bird that I've never noticed in my area before. Maybe it's learning a new word. Maybe it's discovering a street or neighborhood that I never knew existed. I've been looking around alot lately, at other's works,jewelry magazines, art work- searching for something new, something innovative, somewhere to get new ideas, and just to admire the work of other's. I've come to a conclusion for myself anyway; that you can't re-invent the wheel. You will never fit a round peg in a square hole. I wanted to stop in and blog today, before it starts to get to be too much of a chore, or I forget about it altogether! I am so tired! I just can't seem to keep up. This week started out with getting a new washing machine, since ours died last week. Then I worked my usually job, then I picked up 2 days of unexpected hours from my part time job. And that really kicked my butt! Plus now, I'm coming down with a cold. (I do not like to be sick). And I have to work tomorrow morning at my regular job. I have a whole new batch of jewelry made; well almost finished. I'm trying to put the finishing touches on things today. I have a few new styles of earrings, and a couple of new bracelets too. I really wish I could have finished these earlier in the week. I just feel like I'm so behind in finishing or starting all the projects that I want to do.
